Description
Gladderbrook is a beautifully presented 59ft Traditional Tug-style narrowboat, built in 2015 by the highly regarded Braidbar Boats. One of Gladderbrook’s standout features is her vintage Gardner 2LW diesel engine, dating from 1956. Originally dispatched to Natal, South Africa, the engine was subsequently installed in a locomotive. The original documentation and paperwork relating to the engine’s history are available to view on request.
Having been with the same owner from new, Gladderbrook has clearly benefited from consistent care and attention. She showcases the beautiful finish synonymous with Braidbar Boats, with a level of craftsmanship that is immediately apparent. Now being offered for sale for the first time since new, Gladderbrook provides a rare chance to acquire a traditionally styled Braidbar narrowboat with a vintage Gardner engine at its heart.
