Historic butty conversion with mooring
A rare opportunity to own a fantastic live aboard conversion in the picturesque borough of Kingston upon Thames.
The boat is situated on a beautiful, safe mooring within a wonderful community. Perfect as a live aboard or as a weekend retreat, Kingston town centre is only a 10 minute walk away.
Fowey was built by Harris Bros. in the Bumblehole Arm of the Dudley Canal No. 1 at Netherton. In the BCN Gauging Registers, it was first weighed and registered for commercial use in December 1942.
The conversion has been designed to use the maximum amount of living space and the boat is filled with natural light from port holes and roof lights plus skylights in the bathroom and bedroom.
Descending from the large bow deck, you enter into the living and kitchen area. The well thought out design enables full sized furniture to fit. There is a removable dining table and a HWAM wood burning stove that has the capacity to warm the entire boat. Under the bow is a spacious storage area. The fitted galley kitchen includes a gas cooker, Belfast sink, fridge and cupboards.
Moving forwards, a door leads into the bathroom that incorporates a shower, bath, sink and pump-out toilet. There is a skylight above the bath, fitted cupboards and a radiator.
Exiting a second door in the bathroom, you enter the bedroom that includes a fitted wardrobe, shelves and king sized bed. There is a radiator, storage under the bed and a skylight over the bed.
In the stern is the engine room with a Nanni 2.2 L 43hp diesel engine with less than 2000 hours of use. There is a inverter so you can use normal electrical goods and also a plug in shoreline if required.
