My home of three years is up for sale! Just Bobbin Along is a beautiful and unique cruiser. A perfect tiny home or weekend get awayer that’s recently had a solid amount of work done on it and is now ready to cruise away.

Just Bobbin Along is 26ft long with a 6.9ft beam, Burland 1975 fibreglass cabin cruiser with a BSC till September 2028 (I’m in the process of finishing a few jobs so shall have a fresh certificate before it’s sold). Insulated throughout with a burner that’s been blacked and cleaned ready for winter. Fitted gas locker with 3.9kg propane that feeds a two ring hob. Cassette toilet and shower with a separate shower room. Bed in nose of boat (previously slept in this with a foam mattress cut to size). Two Numax CXV 120AH leisure batteries charged by the solar. I’ve never run out of elec and used a small 300w inverter for kitchen appliances and laptop/tablet. 12V lights throughout, 2 x USB charging ports and 1 cigarette charging port. Top spec engine - MFS9.8EPTL Tohatsu 9.8hp 4 stroke petrol, long shaft, remote control, power trim/tilt, elec start. Engine bought new for £2000 with a five-year warranty from Tohatsu (starting in January 2021). Last full service in Feb 2024 and running smooth as anything. Roof platform built myself to accommodate breakfast and drinks! Recently re-painted wheelhouse inside and out and back panels replaced, inside the cabin has been repainted, re-varnished/stained/oiled inside and out, one side re-insulated and re-panelled, outside has been partially re-painted.

To do/to note:

Hot water – hot water previously generated using a calorifier that was powered by the old inboard engine. Since the Tohatsu outboard was installed, this system has not been able to be used as calorifier’s can only work using inboards, hence the boat doesn’t have hot water at the moment. Easiest way to get hot water onboard is to install a gas heater, as advised by the boat gas man (can put you in contact with him).

Antifoul – last done in 2021 so will need antifouling this year or next.

Suits those on the smaller side! I’m 5ft 2 and the ceilings not far away at all…

These are the only considerable things to note and these have been taken into account when pricing. Other than that, there’s very little to do with this boat and it’s ready to be enjoyed.
