Oakums Narrowboats designs and builds new narrowboats around the way each owner plans to cruise, live and spend time aboard. Established in 2019, Oakums has completed more than 50 narrowboats. The current range includes the 40ft Bowless, 60ft Open Bow and 60ft Closed Bow, with diesel and electric propulsion, solar charging and off-grid options available. Standard electric propulsion is the Vetus e-Line 11kW system, with Torkmar available as an upgrade. Interiors use marine-grade plywood rather than MDF or chipboard. Every commission is individually developed around its owner and includes a 12-month Oakums workmanship warranty from launch.
